Mini Modified Tractors

1. Mini Modified Tractors are defined as any tractor without a standard block or crankcase for the make and model of chassis in which the engine is mounted. Mini Modified Tractors are those using engine(s) up to a maximum capacity of 351 cubic inch. The engine must employ a flat tappet camshaft and be naturally Aspirated with a maximum of one venturi per cylinder (i.e.: dual 4 barrel carburettors are allowed), no blowers or turbo-charging. The engine(s) may be up to 60 thou rebored. All engines are limited to two valves, one spark plug per cylinder.
2. Transmissions and Differentials must be derived from passenger cars or trucks. No planetary racing transmissions, slider clutches, quick change differentials are permitted.
3. Weight classes are:

  • 770 kg
  • 825 kg
  • 900 kg, including driver and safety apparel

4. No portion of a mini modified tractor may exceed 8 feet forward of the rear wheel, including removable ballast.
5. No portion of the tractor shall exceed 6 feet in width.
6. Legal fuels are restricted to pump fuels. I.E.: Unleaded Petrol (ULP), Premium ULP and Aviation Fuel (AV Gas) is allowed and no additives may be added thereafter.

Mini Super Modified Tractors

1. Super Mini Modified Tractors are those using engine(s) up to a maximum capacity of 450 cubic inch small block naturally aspirated. The engine(s) may employ a roller cam shaft. Mechanical fuel injection or electronic fuel injection is allowed.
2. Transmissions and Differentials must be derived from passenger cars or trucks. No planetary racing transmissions, slider clutches, quick change differentials are permitted.
3. Weight classes are:

  • 860kg
  • 890kg
  • 920kg, including driver and safety apparel

4. No portion of a super mini modified tractor may exceed 8 feet forward of the centre of the rear wheel, including removable ballast.
5. No portion of the tractor shall exceed 6 feet in width.
6. Legal fuels are Unleaded Petrol (ULP), Premium ULP, Aviation Fuel ( Av Gas) and Methanol is allowed. No Nitro is allowed.

Open Mini Modified Tractors

1. Open Mini Modified Tractors are those using any combination of Automotive, Marine, Aircraft or turbine engine(s), transmis-sion(s) and final drive. There is no limit to the capacity. Blowers and Turbo-charging is permitted.
2. Open Mini tractors are permitted the use of Engine Management Systems.
3. Weight classes are:

  • 860 kg
  • 900 kg
  • 950 kg, including driver and safety apparel

4. No portion of an open mini modified tractor may exceed 8 feet forward of the centre of the rear wheel, including removable ballast.
5. No portion of the tractor shall exceed 6 feet in width.
6. Legal fuels are Alcohol including methanol, Water, Aviation Gas, Diesel, Kerosene, ULP, Nitrous Oxide and Premium Unleaded. A maximum of 20% Nitro Methane is allowed as fuel additive

Limited Modified Tractors

1. Limited Modified Tractors are those using engine(s) up to a maximum capacity of 351 cubic inch. Super Modified Tractors

1. Super Modified Tractors are those using any combination of engine(s), transmis-sion(s) and final drive, up to a limit of 502 cubic inch blown (supercharged) engines or 1004 cubic inch naturally aspirated en-gines. The engine(s) may be up to 60 thou rebored.
2. Weight classes are:

  • 3400 kg
  • 3850 kg
  • 4300 Kg, excluding driver

3. No portion of a super modified tractor may exceed 14 feet forward of the centre of the rear wheel, including removable ballast.
4. Maximum width of tractor is to be 8 feet at its widest point including ballast.
5. Legal fuels are Alcohol including methanol, Water, Aviation Gas, Diesel, Kerosene, ULP, Nitrous Oxide and Premium Unleaded. A maximum of 20% Nitro Methane is allowed as fuel additive.

Pro Stock Tractors

1. The engine capacity for Pro Stock is set at 8.5 litre (520 ci)
2. Weight classes are:

  • 3800 kg
  • 4200 kg
  • 4600 kg, excluding driver

3. The maximum length of 13 feet from centre of rear wheel to forward most potion of tractor including removable ballast.
4. The maximum width of tractor is to be 8 feet at the widest point including ballast.
5. No four wheel drive model tractors are eligible as a Pro-Stock entry.
6. In order for a particular model of Tractor to be eligible as a Pro Stock entry there must have been 150 units produced of that model, it is up to the owner to provide documented proof should a protest be made.
7. Stock fuel for make and model of tractor must be used. Use of gasoline or alcohol is not prohibited. Automatic transmission fluid may be used at a ratio of 400:1 or 2.5 ml per 1 litre of diesel fuel as an additive to prevent delivery valve or injector seizure.

2WD Trucks

1.2WD Modified Trucks are allowed one naturally aspirated automotive engine. Forced Induction is allowed on engines up to 290 cubic inches.
2. Weight classes are:

  • 2500 kg
  • 2600 kg
  • 2700 kg, excluding driver

3.The maximum length of the truck is to be 15 feet from centre line of rear axle to forward most portion of truck, including weight racks, etc.
4.Maximum width is to be 8 feet wide at its widest point.
5.Legal fuels are Alcohol including methanol, Water, Aviation Gas, Diesel, Kerosene, ULP, and Premium Unleaded.
